🔗Adding Polygon Network

Here are the general steps to add the Polygon (formerly Matic) network to MetaMask:

  1. Open MetaMask on your web browser and click on the three dots on the top right corner of the wallet interface.

  2. Click on "Add Token" on the drop-down menu.

  3. Under the "Custom Token" tab, enter the following details:

  • "Token Contract Address": 0x0000000000085d4780B73119b644AE5ecd22b376

  • "Token Symbol": MATIC

  • "Decimals of Precision": 18

  1. Click on "Next" and then on "Add Tokens"

  2. On the main MetaMask interface, you should now see the Polygon (MATIC) network added to the list of available networks.

  3. To switch to the Polygon network, click on the network name in the top-left corner of the MetaMask interface and select "Polygon" from the list of available networks.

It's worth noting that these steps may change over time as the wallet updates or the network evolves, so make sure to check the official documentation of the wallet or the network for the most up-to-date instructions.

Please also note that you should always double-check the contract address and the symbol before adding any token to your wallet to ensure that you are adding the correct one, especially in case of phishing attempts.
