Concept overview

The Awakeness protocol is a decentralized and gamified experiment in game theory, in which the core principle is that "the winner takes all". The protocol comprises a series of tournaments, each of which is comprised of three rounds. In the first round, eight participants (tokens) compete against each other, with the token whose price has increased the most by the end of the round declared the winner. The winner also acquires all of the liquidity from the losing token and proceeds to the next round. This process repeats for the second round, which features four participants, and the final round, which features the last two participants. As such, the ultimate winner of the tournament acquires all of the liquidity from all of the other participants.

Users of the protocol have a variety of different strategies they can employ, such as buying all of the tokens at the beginning of the tournament to diversify their portfolio, buying tokens closer to the end of a round that are more likely to win, buying low and selling high regardless of the round, and holding on to tokens in the hopes of luck.

The protocol includes several features to ensure fairness and randomness, including random round times that can range from a minimum of 10 hours to a maximum of 30 hours, automated contracts that manage liquidity and mint tokens at the beginning of each tournament, and a liquidity formula based on Uniswap v2 that results in a directional price impact for the winner token.

Furthermore, the protocol is designed to foster a vibrant and active community, where participants can form leagues, convince others to buy certain tokens, and come together as rounds progress. All of this is presented within a Star Wars-themed framework with visually stunning artwork and community contributions.
